The Papua Health Office holds a regional meeting to formulate a strategic program for three new autonomous regions

The Papua Provincial Health Office held a health working meeting to formulate a strategic program in the three new autonomous regions (DOB) in Cenderawasih Earth -- the designation for Papua --.

Head of the Papua Provincial Health Office Robby Kayame said in Jayapura on Thursday that through the Rakerkesda a mapping would also be carried out on health development in each new province.

"Where through this Rakerkesda the participants will convey the problems faced by health workers in the three new autonomous regions," he said.

He hopes that through the local working meeting all health workers at the district and city levels can unite in health development in order to reduce morbidity, mortality and increase life expectancy.

"So that later there will be several strategic programs that will be formulated in the Regional Working Meeting which will become recommendations for follow-up in the three new autonomous regions," he said.

Papua Provincial Public Policy Analyst Officer Anike Rawar hopes that the regional health meeting will produce the best recommendations, especially for improving health human resources in the three new autonomous regions.

"So that in the future the health workers in the three new autonomous regions can work in accordance with predetermined health service standards," he said.

He added that in the future health workers in the Land of Papua can carry out their duties properly to save the local community, especially mothers and children.

The 2022 Papua Provincial Rakerkesda is the last meeting for the heads of the Health Services in 29 districts/cities in Papua before separating in carrying out their respective duties in the three new autonomous regions.

The Rakerkesda will take place on November 24-25 2022 and will be opened by Papua Provincial Public Policy Analyst Officer Anike Rawar.
