The Provincial Government of Papua calls the eating fish movement a source of new businesses

The Papua Provincial Government (Pemprov) said that by succeeding the fish-eating movement in the local area, more and more people would be able to manage fish as a source of new businesses so as to have an economic impact on families in Cenderawasih Earth.
 
Assistant for General Affairs of the Regional Secretariat of Papua Derek Hegemur in Jayapura, Papua, Thursday, said it is very important to encourage the movement to eat fish because of its excellent nutritional content such as protein as a source of growth, omega three and six fatty acids which are beneficial for the health of the mother and the formation of the fetal brain, vitamins, and various mineral content.
 
"If it is managed properly, it can turn into a people's economic business, which will create a household economy so that it becomes an added value," said Derek Hegemur.
 
According to Derek, many processed fish can be used as selling points, such as crackers, meatballs, cakes, chocolate, peanuts, shredded fish, and fish meal.
 
"By turning it into a business, it can improve the family's economy and can automatically provide regional original income," said Derek.
 
He explained that for this reason, his party conveyed to various groups of people to continue to be able to carry out the fish-eating movement so as to ensure that everyone throughout Indonesia, including in Papua, can consume fish as part of improving nutrition.
 
"Efforts to improve people's nutrition and interest in consuming fish need to be continuously increased, because fish is expected to be one of the main sources of protein in consumption patterns," said Derek.
 
Meanwhile, the Head of the Maritime Affairs and Fisheries Service (DKP) Papua, Iman Djuniawal said, on Thursday (24/11), taking place in the yard of the local DKP Office, they held a joint fish eating activity brought in from various regions in Papua.
