Orphans in Manokwari receive Christmas gifts from the West Papua Inspectorate

The West Papua Inspectorate distributes gifts to a number of orphans in two different orphanages ahead of the 2022 Christmas celebration.

West Papua Inspector Sugiono in Manokwari, Friday, said the visit of the Papua Inspectorate was carried out at two orphanages namely the Fajar Timur Christian Orphanage and the Semi Meta Bahagia Orphanage in Manokwari.

"We give what we can so that in welcoming Christmas those who are less fortunate because they don't have parents can also feel it," said Sugiono.

Assistance in the form of food, mattresses and formula was provided to the orphanage so that it could be managed to meet the needs of orphans.

"Apart from that, this activity is to strengthen the ties of friendship among inspectorate employees, by increasing concern for others in the orphanage foundation,"
continued Sugiono.

Meanwhile, the manager of the orphanage, Semi Meta Bahagia, who is usually called Ibu Semi, welcomed the visit, even though not all of the children living in the orphanage are Christians, they can feel happiness together.

"With the assistance provided, it will be a beautiful gift for children, because they can feel the joy of Christmas together," he said.
