Koramil 1708-01/Biak Kota established friendship through social communication activities (komsos) with the assisted residents after the Christmas celebration so that they could find out about the development of the situation in Samber Village, Biak Kota District, Biak Numfor Regency, Papua.
 
Babinsa Koramil 1708-01/Biak Kota Sertu Baldus Soyem in a press release for the Information of the Biak Numfor Kodim in Jayapura, Tuesday, said that the activity was aimed at increasing friendship and a joint approach with all components of the assisted community.
 
"The Social Sciences activity is also carried out in order to maintain the good relations that have existed so far in order to create cohesiveness and togetherness between one another," he said.
 
According to Baldus, by establishing social communication, a lot of information is obtained, especially before the New Year 2023 so that a sense of security and togetherness can be created.
 
"There are many things that we can get through the Social Sciences program, including being able to maintain close relationships and get to know each other among residents," he said.
 
He explained that by gathering and meeting face-to-face with members of the community, they could share information related to security and order as well as the security and orderliness of kamtibmas and could hear complaints directly from the community.
 
"Friendship activities and social communication are part of Babinsa's role and function in carrying out territorial development in the target areas," he said again.
 
Meanwhile, one of the residents in Kampung Samber Ester Womsiwor said that he was happy with the visit and that he felt there was no distance between him and Babinsa.
 
"We feel like a family, so we exchange information with each other so Kampung Samber will always be safe with the presence of Babinsa," he said.
