The Provincial Government of Papua Mountains encourages the district to succeed in Productive Papua

The Provincial Government of Papua Mountains has coordinated with eight districts to make the productive Papua Program a success, through the management of natural resources in each region.

The Acting Regional Secretary of the Papua Mountains Province, Sumule Tumbo in Wamena, said Thursday that coordination with the regency had been carried out after he attended a meeting with the National Development Planning Agency (Bappenas).

"We have held meetings with the districts to synchronize the scale of priorities going forward, as directed by Bappenas that there are three important points, namely Healthy, Smart and Productive Papua," he said.

Sumule said the three points were priority activities that would later be carried out through the 2023 regional revenue and expenditure budget (APBD).

"This will also synchronize the district, province and center so that the goals can be achieved together," he said.

At the provincial and district government meetings that took place at the Papua Highlands Governor's Office, the regional secretary hoped that the National priority program would run well because of course it would be followed by financial support.

"Indeed, this will take time, but we are still committed to optimizing the discussions in the two days Bappenas is in Wamena," he said.

On Monday, 12 December 2022 Bappenas staff visited Highlands Papua to review the readiness of carrying out three missions namely Healthy Papua, Smart Papua and Productive Papua which will be carried out in the provinces of Papua, West Papua, Central Papua, Highlands Papua and South Papua.

Deputy for Regional Development Bappenas, Himawan Harioga hopes that with the implementation of the three missions, Papua can be more independent, advanced, just and prosperous.

The National Development Planning Agency (Bappenas) is pushing for the action plan to accelerate development in all provinces in 2023.
