Papua is ready to lift Indonesia's image in the eyes of the world through the successful implementation of PON XX 2020. The easternmost region which is popular with the diversity of tribes and abundant natural resources is declared ready to succeed the implementation of XX PON 2020 next October. Confidence in Papua's readiness to succeed in the implementation of XX PON was also conveyed by the Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia (Menko PMK) Muhadjir Effendy. for the post-PON event so that this place can become a center for certain national and international sport branches.

It is hoped that the easternmost region of Indonesia will eventually become aligned with the regions of West and Central Indonesia. So that the Javanese Mindset of centrism will also disappear from social, political and economic aspects. This is important to do in order to realize equity. But most importantly, the multiplier effect must still be felt by the people of Papua with the presence of PON and infrastructure development.

The success of the PON is not only seen from the success of the implementation but also the success of the achievements and the success of other dimensions which can further become a pride of the nation. With PON XX Papua, the character of young Papuans is at stake, because young Papuans are at the forefront in creating the image of the Archipelago in the eyes of the International.
