Jokowi's Special Staff Introduces 24 Papua Startups to 100 Global Investors

Indonesian President's Special Staff for Millennial and Innovation Billy Mambrasar introduced 24 Papuan millennial startups to 100 global investors. Stafsus Jokowi who also came from Papua believes that the success of Papuan children does not have to go to Java or abroad.

He said, in the provinces of Papua and West Papua there are currently 308 startups. Of these, 24 of the best startups were chosen to be encouraged and given guidance so they could develop their businesses.

According to Billy, the 24 business people are part of the startup ecosystem and millennial SMEs in Papua and West Papua. They are fostered by PT Papua Muda Inspiratif, in collaboration with the Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs.

This Jokowi Stafsus said, with the creativity and potential of Papua's natural resources, its youth and youth were able to compete with millennial entrepreneurs in other areas.

"We are already familiar with Amartha Finance, Ruangguru, Gojek. The founders are simple young men but they are creative. Now Nusantara children from Sabang to Merauke have the same opportunity to establish start-ups and companies," said Billy Mambrasar when contacted from Manokwari, Friday, March 20, 2020.
