West Papua seeks responsibility for medical treatment for Covid-19 patients

District and city governments in West Papua endeavor to cover the cost of treatment for each patient who is confirmed positive for corona or Covid-19. In an emergency situation the government will make maximum efforts to address budgetary needs.

"I think for such a situation the government will take over, because this is in a state of progress," said the Head of the West Papua Health Office, Otto Parorongan, Tuesday (03/17/2020).

According to Otto, in the prevention and handling of corona cases in West Papua the Task Force will submit a budget to the local government.

Although until now there has not been found a case of covid in West Papua. He invited the community to simultaneously take preventive actions by implementing the appeal of the Covid-19 Task Force formed by the local government.
