Good News, Corona ODP in Papua has fallen dramatically

Papua's COVID-19 Task Force announces a decline in monitoring (ODP) in Papua. The decline in ODP occurred up to 2,354 people.

Papua COVID-19 Task Force spokesperson, doctor Silwanus Sumule said the current ODP number was 3,498 people. He hopes that ODP that has been removed from the list will continue to carry out independent isolation for the next 14 days.

"This decrease is because thousands of ODP have passed the 14-day independent quarantine period and remain in good health. We hope that the ODP that has been crossed out will continue to report its health if there are symptoms of the COVID-19 corona, "he explained, Monday (6/4/2020).

Whereas for the development of COVID-19 positive patients in Papua the number was the same as before, 26 people, with 45 patients under supervision (PDP).

"Of the patients treated, 3 people used breathing apparatus namely 2 people in Jayapura City and 1 person in Timika. While the remaining positive COVID-19 patients are in the treatment of moderate pain conditions, "he said.

Sumule said that tomorrow there were a number of flights that had been chartered by the Papua Covid-19 Task Force to support medical devices and PPE for medical personnel in the Animha area or southern Papua.

"We also just got an additional 725 rapid tests and this is very difficult. We ask non-health organizations, please do not accumulate rapid tests and better submit them to us, because there are trained health workers, "he said.
