Kodam XVIII/Kasuari Hands Over Medical Aid to the West Papua Health Office

After yesterday (Friday), Kodam (Kesdam) Health personnel XVIII / Kasuari together with members of the Manokwari Regional Police took Medical Devices (Alkes) assistance from the National Task Force for the Co-19 Handling Acceleration Handling who came from Jakarta at Rendani Manokwari Airport and temporarily kept at XVIII Kesdam Headquarters. / Cassowary, Arfai 1, Manokwari, West Papua, so today, Saturday (5/4/2020) the medical devices were handed over to the West Papua Province Health Office (Dinkes).

The medical devices handed over by the Head of the Kodam XVIII / Kasuari Health were 40 coli (2,000 pieces) of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and 10 koli (10,000 pieces) of masks.

Met at the venue of the event which was the Hall of Makesdam XVIII / Kasuari, Kakesdam Colonel Ckm Dr. Azhari said that overall Medical Aid assistance from the National Task Force for the Acceleration of Covid-19 Handling as many as 1,310 colony APDs and 225,000 masks had been distributed to several Provinces and were received by various Kodam in the ranks of the Army.

"For the XVIII / Kasuari Kodam and also other Kodam, this assistance is assistance facilitated by the TNI Headquarters, in this case the TNI Commander in Chief Marshal Hadi Tjahjanto, S.I.P. As for us from the District Military Command as a unit of the Regional Military Command that has the main tasks and functions in the health sector, the leaders are ordered to handle this activity. We help to receive, take and store or temporarily secure these items, and then at the first opportunity we leave it to the West Papua Provincial Health Office, "he said.

"Furthermore, the West Papua Provincial Health Office will distribute the Medical Devices to various Regencies / Cities and hospitals throughout the region of West Papua," continued Kakesdam XVIII / Cassowary.

The head of the West Papua Province Health Office (Kadinkes), Otto Parorongan in the same place expressed his gratitude and thanked him for the assistance given by the National Task Force for the Acceleration of Handling Covid-19.
