The students who were lying and lounging on the terrace terrace immediately rose to welcome Ganjar and his entourage. Ganjar also invited a dialogue and asked about the health condition of Papuan students studying at a number of universities in the city of Semarang.

To Papuan students, Ganjar said he felt like he wanted to visit the province in eastern Indonesia. Ganjar had previously visited Papua.

"I miss visiting Papua and miss Papeda special food," he said.

On that occasion Ganjar said he would help other needs to help Papuan students in Semarang during the Covid-19 outbreak.

"Take care of your health, if you go outside wearing a mask. Don't forget to wash your hands and exercise diligently. If you need anything, call me later, I will help, "said Ganjar.

Semarang Papua Boarding Board administrator, Ernest Rumadas, stated that he did not expect to receive an unannounced visit from the Governor of Central Java, Ganjar, and received basic needs assistance and others.

"I represent 20 Papuan friends in my dormitory, thanking you for the basic food assistance from the Governor," he said.

According to Ernast, the assistance was very helpful because since the Covid-19 outbreak had quite an impact on Papuan students in Semarang. He said he was seeking assistance from the Provincial Government of Papua, but until now it had not yet arrived.
