TNI Task Force Infantry Battalion 411 Kostrad Together with Sota Health Center Hold Posyandu in the Interior of Papua

The Sota Health Center together with the Task Force Battalion MR 411 / Pdw Kostrad carry out Posyandu activities and health services for residents of the RI-PNG Border at RT 03 Yakyu, Rawabiru Village, Sota District, Kab. Merauke, Papua Province, some time ago.

Dansatgas Pamtas RI-PNG Yonif MR 411 / Pdw Kostrad Major Inf Rizky Aditya S. Sos., M.Han said that, the activity was to ensure the growth and development of toddlers and examination of pregnant women.

"Posyandu activities include weighing, height measurement, provision of Vitamin A, immunization, family planning services, Antenatal Care for pregnant women, prevention of diarrhea, followed by socialization about health and also giving advice on maintaining a clean lifestyle in order to prevent the spread of Covid-19, "Said Dansatgas.

Dansatgas said, the purpose of Posyandu is to find out the health condition of the mother and her toddler as well as the growth and development of her child, besides also to know the health condition of pregnant women and fetuses in the womb.

Dantsagas added, at the end of the activity provided additional food (PMT) as nutritional intake for toddlers, because toddlers in RT 03 Yakyu must always receive additional vitamins and nutrition, especially because the location is in the interior of Papua and must be traveled by Ketinting (Papua traditional boat ) for 2 ½ hours through the marshes.

"Pamtas Task Force is always present in the midst of the community in addition to carrying out its main task in maintaining security in the border region, also has a moral responsibility to ensure the next generation of the nation to grow and develop in a healthy manner," he concluded.

The Head of the Sota Community Health Center, Merry S Gebze, who was directly present at the activity, thanked the personnel of the Yonif MR 411 / Pdw Kostrad Task Force in organizing Posyandu.

"The presence of the Yakyu Pos Task Force personnel certainly helped the Puskesmas staff to carry out Posyandu activities and provide health services to residents," said the Head of the Sota Puskesmas.
