BBKSDA Papua and TNI Synergize to Protect TSL in the RI-PNG Border Area |
The Head of the KSDA Region I Merauke, together with KOREM 174 / Anim Ti Waninggap, provided briefing on TSL protection to 900 personnel of the Pammek 526 / CY Task Force and 125 / SMB Infantry Battalion.
They are the newly transferred Border Safeguards, and will be serving in the RI-PNG border region of Merauke Regency and Boven Digoel. The debriefing, which was held on June 13, 2020, aims to increase the synergy of TSL Protection protected, especially in the RI-PNG border area where the task force personnel are assigned.
The Regional Head of the KSDA Region I Merauke, Irwan Effendi, S.Pi., M.Sc., conducted further coordination with Korasi 174 / ATW Kasiops, Danyon 526 / CY, Danyon 526 / CY, and Head of Merauke Class I Quarantine Station on June 15 2020
Furthermore, on Monday, June 22, 2020 Irwan attended the RI-PNG Task Force Release Ceremony of the old, Infantry Battalion MR 411 / PDW and Infantry Battalion 406 / CK at the Port of Merauke.
On this occasion, Irwan asked the parties to increase synergy in maintaining the security of the Papua Natural Resources, especially the protected TSL.
The message was delivered directly to Kasiops KOREM 174 / ATW, Dandenma Lantamal XI, KRI Commander of Banda Aceh, and PMTNI AL to assist in monitoring the circulation of TSL in KRI Banda Aceh. Because the old RI-PNG Satgas Task Force will be placed in the westernmost region of Indonesia.
The Head of the Papua KSDA Center, Edward Sembiring, S.Hut., M.Sc., conveyed that we were grateful to the Border Safeguards who had been contributing to safeguarding natural resources in their assignments.
'' The RI-PNG Task Force maintains the defense and security of the Republic of Indonesia as well as protecting natural resources, especially plants and wildlife protected by Papua endemic. For me this is an extraordinary task, and only chosen people can get a noble task like this. We hope that synergy can continue to be improved for the preservation of protected TSL in Papua, "he concluded.
