BMP Secretary General Supports Extension of Special Autonomy for Volume 2 Papua

Yonas Nussy, Secretary of the Red and White Front of Papua Province gave his support for the extension of the implementation of Otsus in Papua Province.

"I ask that Papua Special Autonomy be continued for the welfare of the people of Papua," he said.

However, this support needs to be supported by transparency and close supervision as one of the keys to the success of the Papuan Otsus.

"Monitoring and transparency of the Special Autonomy budget needs to be strengthened, including the need to evaluate the special autonomy fund beforehand," he said.

The continuation of special autonomy is very important for the people of Papua, considering that so far the special autonomy budget allocation has had a positive effect on the lives of the Papuan people.

It also highlights a group of people who are currently voicing a rejection of special autonomy in Papua.

"I ask for all parties not to make provocations that can disrupt regional conduciveness," he explained.
