Otsus is Able to Minimize Economic and Development Gap in Papua

Member of the DPR-RI Electoral District of Papua, John Siffy Mirin, said that Special Autonomy (Otsus) is a solution for the welfare of the Papuan people.

"With Otsus, local problems with all the potential and creativity of the regions can be resolved and channeled appropriately," said John, Friday (07/08/20).

He assessed that the philosophical foundation of Otsus is very good, it's just that it needs to be evaluated, so that it is right on target with the achievement for the welfare of Indigenous Papuans (OAP).

"The basic intentions are good, it's just that the implementation has to be evaluated a lot," said John.

This PAN legislator hopes that Otsus will be able to minimize economic disparities and development in Papua, not only benefiting a handful of parties.

"With Otsus we are able to minimize economic disparities and development in Papua, it is not only beneficial for some parties, it must be evenly distributed to the small community," he said.
