27 Beoga Residents Evacuated to Timika after the KKB Brutal Action

A total of 27 civilians were evacuated again from Beoga, Puncak Regency, Papua, to Timika, on Thursday, April 15, 2021, as a result of brutal shootings by an armed criminal group (KKB).
 
The 27 civilians consisting of teachers and medical personnel were evacuated using three small aircraft and now all have arrived safely in Timika.
 
KP3 Head of Moses Kilangin Airport Timika Ipda Andi Batilu confirmed that the 27 residents had been evacuated to Timika using three different planes. On Wednesday afternoon, eight people were evacuated including two toddlers.
 
The evacuation of civilians was carried out in order to prevent casualties as well as provide trauma healing. A resident who had been evacuated, Maria, said she was very grateful after she and her family managed to get out of Beoga.
 
KKB previously shot two teachers to death in Beoga, namely Oktovianus Rayo who was shot on Thursday (8/4) and Yonatan Renden was shot on Friday (9/4). They also burned down the house of Deputy Chairman I of the DPRD Puncak Menase Mayau and the house of the Head of SMPN Junaidi Sulele in Beoga.
