Kapolda Papua: Commander of the TNI and Kapolri check the readiness of PON XX

Papua Police Chief Inspector General Pol Mathius Fakhiri said the working visit of TNI Commander Marshal TNI Hadi Tjahjanto with National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo to Sentani, Jayapura Regency to check readiness ahead of the XX PON.
 
"It is true that the presence of the two leaders on Wednesday (27/5) made another work visit, one of which is to check the readiness ahead of the PON which is scheduled for October," he said.
 
During the working visit which lasts until Thursday (28/5), the TNI Commander and the Police Chief will hold a number of meetings with the security apparatus and with figures based in Sentani, Inspector General Pol Fakhiri said in Jayapura, Wednesday.

Apart from hosting the XX PON, he said, Papua will also host the XVI National Paralympic Week (Peparnas) so that the Polda together with Kodam XVII Cenderawasih must provide reinforcement so that it can be carried out well.
 
In addition to checking the readiness of the two leaders, they will provide reinforcement to members of the TNI-Polri, explained Inspector General of Police Fakhiri.
 
When asked about the situation of kamtibmas, the Papua Police Chief said that the overall situation was relatively conducive.
 
The Nemangkawi Task Force is still carrying out law enforcement operations against armed criminal groups (OKB) in the central mountainous area, namely Puncak Regency.
 
"Hopefully the social security in the region will return to being conducive so that people can carry out activities without feeling anxious," said Inspector General of Police Fakhiri.
