Merauke Police to Train Security Guard to Help Police Secure XX Papua PON

Merauke Police will train security guards in the area to help police secure guesthouses and lodging for athletes to the PON XX Papua venue.

After training, each security guard will be in charge of assisting police officers.

"We will train the security guards here to be placed in every athlete venue and guest house in Merauke," said Head of Merauke Police, AKBP Ir. Untung Sangaji through a written statement received by Tribun-Papua.com in Jayapura, Tuesday (18/5/2021).

Untung said that his party needed tight security in every sport in Merauke.

Regarding PON security, Merauke Police will also cooperate with the TNI and related agencies.

Furthermore, Untung said that his party would also help the government prepare facilities and infrastructure and equipment to support the implementation of PON security.

"We will help prepare infrastructure and equipment to support the implementation of the XX PON Security in 2021 in Merauke," he said.

Untung said that the construction of the PON facility in Merauke Regency was almost complete, all that was needed was planting grass and installing banners in each PON facility.

Merauke Regency has been entrusted with PON Papua to host several sports, including women's football, chess, hangars, motorbike croos, road rice, and wushu.
