OPM member Litiron Weya Arrested in Puncak Jaya Papua

The Nemangkawi Operation Law Enforcement Task Force (Satgas Nemangkawi) arrested a member of the Armed Criminal Group (KKB) or OPM led by Terinus Enumbi, Litiron Weya (LW) aka Bensin aka Demies in Puncak Jaya Regency, Papua.

"LW was arrested because previously it was included in the Police Wanted List (DPO)," said Head of the Nemangkawi Operations Public Relations Task Force, Kombes M. Iqbal Alqudusy, Sunday (23/5).

Iqbal explained that LW is a weapon supplier for the Terinus Enumbi group. According to him, LW was the perpetrator of the shooting of Letda Blegur in August 2018.

LW was also the perpetrator of the confiscation of a firearm belonging to a TNI soldier who was carrying groceries. This weapon seizure incident occurred in February 2020.

"At the time of the action, LW was not alone but with two of his colleagues who are still being hunted by the Newangkawi Task Force," he said.

LW has been included in the DPO since March 9, 2020 regarding the theft of a SS1 V1 rifle belonging to a TNI soldier in Biak Village, Mewoluk District, Puncak Jaya Regency.

LW is part of the Terinus Enumbi group, the Goliath Tabuni fraction. For his actions, LW was charged with Article 365 paragraph (1) of the Criminal Code and Article 55 Paragraph (1) of the Criminal Code.

"Currently, LW is still being investigated at the Puncak Jaya Police," he said.
