Police Search KKB Shelter House, Find 2 Long Barrel Guns Sen




The Papuan Regional Police searched a house in Kampung Bombing which was suspected to be a stopover for the armed criminal group (KKB) on June 2, 2021 at around 01.30 WIT.

Head of the Public Relations Division of the Papuan Police, Commissioner Ahmad Mustofa Kamal, said that from the search, investigators confiscated two SS1 long-barreled firearms.

"Earlier on May 31, the joint team investigated the disappearance of three inventory firearms at the Oksamul Sub-Sector Police Headquarters during the attack incident that killed First Brigadier Mario Sanoy," said Kamal in a written statement on Thursday, June 3, 2021.

Then, the next day, the team found out where the two weapons were hidden. The team, Kamal said, then moved to the house and conducted a search.

"Currently we have brought the evidence and secured it," said Kamal. Meanwhile, for one short-barreled revolver, the police are still looking for it.

Previously, armed groups were reported to have attacked the Oksamol Sub-Sector Police Office in Oksamol District, Bintang Mountains Regency, Papua, on Friday, May 28, 2021. As a result of this action, Head of Oksamol Sub-Sector Brigadier Mario Sanoy was killed.
