Deduction of Village Funds of 30 Million in Hoax Villages

The Jayawijaya Regent immediately took a stand regarding the circulating hoax news about the Village Fund cutting of Rp. 30 million per village.

"I think this is unclear news, the news link shared in the group regarding this is fake news or hoaxes. However, I still confirmed to DPMK and no penny deduction was made by DPMK officers," said Jayawijaya Regent Jhon Richard Banua as quoted from papuainside.com, Wednesday 12/29/2021.

According to the regent, so far in the distribution of village funds in Jayawijaya as regent he has always asked other OPDs to also accompany and supervise the distribution of village funds to districts and villages.

In practice, village funds are delivered and distributed directly in districts and villages, and distributed in front of village heads and district heads.

"So I think what they say is that there is a deduction of Rp. 30 million per village is not true. I have also checked directly with the DPMK secretary who is accompanying the distribution. If there is, then of course we will take action," he concluded.

Separately, the secretary of the Village Community Empowerment Service (DPMK) of Jayawijaya Regency, Lepinus Gombo, said that if this were to happen, then of course there would be clear regulations regarding it.

"The issue that is developing is about cutting village funds of Rp. 30 million per village. We from DPMK have absolutely no idea. According to the regulations and the rules that we have set so far, there is no deduction of Rp. 30 million per village," he explained.

According to him, information like this must be proven with clear evidence, such as where it happened and by whom.

“Information like this must be clear, for example, in which village did the cuts occur? did all 328 villages have their funds cut? And by whom?" he said.

Lepinus said, if there was a cut in village funds, of course his party as the relevant agency would know better about the regulation.

"Regarding this issue, we DPMK Jayawijaya district said it was not true," he said.

According to him, if this happens, it will certainly be contained in clear regulations.

Have there been cuts at the village or service level? If the agency does it, then it must be stated in clear regulations.

"We were surprised that there was an issue of cutting village funds of Rp. 30 per village, where did this happen? And by whom? It must be clear," he concluded.
