Mobile Library Entrance to Papua Village



Literacy culture in Indonesia today is still not developed. One way to develop this culture is to organize mobile libraries to remote areas.

This was done by Binmas Noken Polres Deiyai ​​Polda Papua. In an effort to revive Literacy in Papua, especially in Deiyai ​​Regency, the Resort Police held a mobile library program. This program is called the Pi Ajar Police or what is often called the Go Teaching Police.

Deiyai ​​Police Chief AKBP Herzoni Saragih with Kasat Binmas Ipda Frans Maraya with members, Monday 27 December 2021 visited Waghete Satu Village. They brought lots of reading books and distributed them to the children.
 
The police also brought books and gifts on motorbikes so that they could easily enter the residents' villages.

The presence of the police was enthusiastically welcomed by the children in the village. Deiyai ​​district chief, Frans Mote, thanked the police for this program. "This is very nice. The children are on school holidays. Instead of them playing, it would be better if they read a book," he said.
 
According to Frans, this program is one of the manifestations of the Papuan Police in approaching the younger generation and fostering a sustainable and sustainable world of literacy. "With this activity, it is hoped that the values ​​of patriotism and nationality will grow for the next generation," he said.
