Papua Provincial Government focuses on community economic recovery in 2022

The Provincial Government (Pemprov) of Papua focuses on restoring the community's economy to regional development in 2022.
 
Regional Secretary (Sekda) of Papua Province, Ridwan Ruikutun in Jayapura, Thursday, said that in prioritizing regional development, his party also focuses on ensuring social welfare and equitable economic growth.
 
"The main elements in the 2022 regional development program include increasing access to the quality and quantity of education and health services, as well as strengthening security stability and democracy," he said.
 
According to Ridwan, his party will also optimize the added value of commodities outside the mining sector, strengthen governance and the capacity of Indigenous Papuans to take advantage of economic opportunities, use basic infrastructure, technology and informatics connectivity.
 
"We will minimize the level of disaster vulnerability and improve the quality of the environment," he said.
 
The policy directions and regional priorities of the Papua Province for 2022 have been described in priority regional development programs and activities carried out by all regional apparatus.
 
"Where the implementation of regional development in 2022 is the implementation of the fourth phase of the 2018-2023 RPJMD for Papua Province," he said.
 
This 2022 development priority is in the context of achieving the regional development vision and mission which is described in the regional development goals and objectives.
