Cultural Parade Will Color Merauke's Anniversary

The cultural parade will color Merauke's 120th anniversary on February 12, 2022.

The chairman of the committee for the 120th anniversary of Merauke, Albert Rapami, said the cultural parade would be held on February 12, 2022.
 
"We are preparing a cultural parade on the peak of the morning with a route starting from the Brawijaya Circle Libra to the Merauke Regent 's Office," said Albert Rapami to Tribun-Papua.com in Merauke , Wednesday 26/1/2022 .

According to him, the cultural parade which will be held will involve all ethnic groups, both local Papuans and non-Papuans who live on Anim Ha's land.
 
"The plan is for all ethnicities in Merauke," said Albert.

He explained, after the cultural parade, it was followed by a peak reception at the Merauke regent's office in the evening.

The activity will begin with a joint prayer from five religious leaders.
 
In addition, there is a four-day UMKM culinary exhibition at the Time Capsule monument on Jalan Brawijaya.

" There are traditional bob wrestling and archery competitions at the Time Capsule Monument and rowing boats in Blorep," he added.
