Kominfo focuses on PAD targets and program evaluation

Head of the Communication and Information Office (Kominfo) of Jayapura Regency, Papua, Gustaf Griapon, explained that for the current work program in 2022, his party will focus more on evaluating a number of work programs that have been carried out previously and the Regional Original Income (PAD) sectors that have been initiated. with data collection and improvement of telecommunication network services in Jayapura Regency.

The last program, said Gustaf, was an Electronic-Based Information System (SIBE) which was implemented in every government work unit, down to government work at the district and village levels.

There is also a district program as a center for information, training, and empowerment centers which are the policies of regional leaders.
 
"Evaluate the extent to which the development and implementation of the installed facilities and infrastructure and the synergy carried out from the village to the district level," explained Griapon in Sentani, Jayapura Regency, Papua, Thursday (1/13/2022).

It is said, for the PAD sector so far it has not been running optimally because to collect retribution from PAD-producing sectors, it is only supported by the regent's regulation (perbup). Meanwhile, the provision of services must be supported by local regulations (perda).

At this time, the Regional Regulation on Retribution for Telecommunication Network Services is being pushed and it is hoped that in the near future it will be enacted by the Jayapura Regency legislature.

“In the past, revenue efforts from videotron services at a number of points in the city area, then Pay TV, and Kenambai Umbai Radio, which until now have not been maximized in terms of revenue. There are 113 towers or towers installed in this area, 50 of which are owned by Telkomsel. While the others are owned by Telkomsel providers or partners who are developing telecommunication service businesses for which we have ownership data," said Griapon.

"A few days ago we coordinated with Telkom and Telkomsel for the installation of towers and towers at a number of points in Jayapura Regency, after there was a regional regulation and it was supported by a regional regulation, we get income from the presence of hundreds of towers and towers installed in the Jayapura Regency area, ” he added.
 
Jayapura Regent, Mathius Awoitauw, separately said the presence of a number of supporting facilities for telecommunication network services to internet networks is very important in every development process that is currently being carried out and developed as a form of excellent service to the community.

“In this era that is increasingly advanced and developing, we have to adapt and participate in it. We can't just stand there and be run over by all the progress that is currently underway," said Awoitauw.

“All efforts and plans are well coordinated, making it easier for those who are service providers. This is in the common interest and in particular for our people who are on the outskirts of the city, there must be clear and adequate access for them. This also makes it easier for all of us to communicate and coordinate with each other in the development sector,” said the regent for the two periods.
