Presidential Staff: The Presence of IBT from Polinef is Expected to Generate Young Entrepreneurs in Fakfak

Presidential Special Staff Billy Mambrasar hopes that the presence of the Business and Technology Incubation Center (IBT) from the Fakfak State Polytechnic (Polinef), West Papua, can give birth to new young entrepreneurs in Fakfak.

"With the presence of IBT Krakiminah, it is hoped that new young entrepreneurs will emerge in Fakfak and have an impact on the creation of new jobs," said Billy Mambrasar in his statement in response to the launch of the Business and Technology Incubation Center (IBT) from the Fakfak State Polytechnic (Polinef), according to information on the official website. Billy, who also serves as the Advisor for IBT Polinef, said that Krakiminah means water and sunlight, which are two important elements in life.

"It is hoped that IBT Krakiminah can become an enlightenment and provide many benefits for West Papua," he said.

He also conveyed his commitment to advancing IBT Krakiminah through synergies with various other universities.

"Trusted as the coach of IBT Krakiminah Polinef, I will continue to provide directions and invite synergies with other campuses, both in East, Central and West Indonesia," he said.

The Presidential Staff also conveyed greetings from Indonesian President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) to the people of Fakfak and Papua as a whole. President Jokowi advised that the development of educational institutions is very important to develop human resources and accelerate development.

"His message about the importance of building educational institutions remains a priority for the development of Papuan human resources, in order to encourage accelerated development in Papua and West Papua," he said.

Minister of Education, Culture, Research and Technology (Mendikbudristek) Nadiem Makarim also expressed his appreciation for the launch of IBT Krakiminah from Polinef.

“I express my pride and appreciation for the establishment and launch of the Fakfak State Polytechnic's Business and Technology Incubation Center to support the creation of young entrepreneurs in Papua, supporting the Free Learning philosophy. It is also a matter of pride for being the first and only polytechnic in Papua that has an incubation center,” said Nadiem in his virtual speech.

Meanwhile, Director of Polinef Muhammad Subhan expressed his readiness to support government programs, not only in Fakfak Regency and West Papua Province but also in other parts of Indonesia.

“Fakfak State Polytechnic will support business and technology development, based on local strengths from Fakfak and Papua. We also launched several other facilities, at the same time, such as a nutmeg resistance laboratory and also an exhibition room,” said Subhan.
