TNI denies that there were soldiers killed in the KKB shooting

Kapendam Cenderawasih Colonel Inf Aqsha Erlangga denied any TNI soldiers who died in shootings carried out by an armed criminal group (KKB), from the West Papua National Liberation Army - Free Papua Organization (TPNPB-OPM). The shooting is known to have occurred in Intan Jaya, Papua, on Saturday (5/2/2022).

"Yes, yesterday, but no one died," said Aqsa when confirmed, Sunday (2/2022).

Information related to yesterday's shooting was conveyed by TPNPB-OPM spokesman Sebby Sambom.

He said the Operation Commander of TPNPB Kodap 8 Kemabu Intan Jaya, Undius Kogeya, had attacked in Sugapa, Intan Jaya from 06.00 WIT to 08.00 WIT.

Sebby claimed, in the attack, one TNI soldier on behalf of Enos Aninam was shot and killed. Enos is a TNI soldier from Papua.

But Aqsa denied this. He said Enos was a soldier from the West Papua Kasuari Kodam. He also said that Enos died not because he was shot by KKB, but because of a single accident.
