The British Waropen community appreciates the TNI for helping repair the bridge
The community in the Inggerus District, Waropen Regency, Papua, appreciates the TNI, especially the three members of the Village Trustees (Babinsa) Koramil 1709-03/Waropen Bawah (Warbah) for their assistance in repairing damaged bridges in this area.
One of the residents of the Inggerus District, Obet Beno, in a press release in Jayapura, Wednesday, said that his party highly appreciates the presence of Babinsa.
"Thank you for the presence of the Babinsa Koramil 03/Warbah gentlemen who came directly to help us in repairing this bridge," he said.
Meanwhile, a member of Babinsa Koramil 1709-03/Waropen Bawah Serda Dody Bohang said helping residents is an effort to build good togetherness and cooperation as well as foster a spirit of mutual cooperation between the TNI Babinsa and residents.
"The bridge made of wood is the main route to build the economy of the residents here," he said with Serda Mahfuz Jamil and Serda Dahrum.
According to Serda Dody, the condition of the bridge has been badly damaged because all the wood used is rotten and broken so that it can endanger local residents as road users who cross the bridge.
"Seeing this, we together with all residents repaired the bridge with new wood materials obtained around the village, then processed into beams and boards to be used to replace rotten and damaged bridge wood," he said.
He added that this activity was carried out as one of the steps to continue to create security, comfort, increase welfare, and good cooperation with residents.
