This year, the Huawei CSR Ramadan 2022 theme is Huawei I Do Care – One Heart for a Fully Connected and Prosperous Indonesia as an effort to increase connectivity and digital inclusion to schools in Sorong and Biak, West Papua, as well as orphanages in 14 cities across Indonesia. throughout Indonesia.
This activity is part of the realization of Huawei's commitment to build connectivity and provide access to inclusive education for children, especially those who live in rural areas and remote islands.
This CSR event was inspired by President Joko Widodo's government's great concern for infrastructure development and connectivity in Eastern Indonesia.
In a press statement received on Sunday, April 17, 2022, Dedy Permadi, PhD, Special Staff to the Minister for Digital Policy and HR Development / Spokesperson for the Indonesian Ministry of Communication and Informatics, said, "We express our high appreciation to Huawei Indonesia which has had an extraordinary initiative to reach out to children in Papua and West Papua so that they can be well connected to the internet."
"The internet is like a double-edged sword. For that, our joint task, both the government, the private sector, and the general public, is to ensure that the internet is used positively, productively, and creatively by all internet users in Indonesia," he continued.
Meanwhile, Agustina said, Indonesian children occupy a third of the composition of the entire Indonesian population and are the key to the success of the success of the Indonesian nation in the future.
So that every child has the right to survival, growth and development, as well as protection against various forms of violence and discrimination.
"To improve the quality of learning, not only teachers as educators, but also all sectors such as parents, government, business, community institutions, media, and the general public," he said.

"It is undeniable, digital talent is indeed the basis of digital transformation. Therefore, we hope that children will be equipped with the means to access the internet and improve digital literacy," he said.
Dra. Sri Wahyuningsih, M.Pd, Director of Elementary Schools, Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia, said, "Digital literacy and inclusion are basic needs for the implementation of the concept of Merdeka Learning."
"Currently, at the elementary school level, the percentage of schools that must be prepared for digital transformation is still quite high. Various obstacles in the world of education do not only occur in remote areas, but also in schools in urban areas. I appreciate Huawei and this is a form of Huawei's contribution and Huawei's responsibility to the world of education which is the spirit of simultaneously moving to realize the quality of Indonesian education," he said.
Kak Seto, General Chairperson of the Indonesian Child Protection Institute, said, “Digital literacy is a necessity in today's era to fulfill the right to learn, because learning is not an obligation but a child's right. Literacy also makes Indonesian children understand the functions and benefits of technology correctly. Through technology, children can explore intelligence and creativity. I hope that connectivity will be evenly distributed so that technology in Indonesia can be more inclusive. For this reason, Huawei's contribution in realizing this goal should be appreciated.
