The Health Office invites residents to participate in vaccinations so that Jayawijaya has zero COVID-19 cases
The Jayawijaya District Health Office, Papua Province, invites residents who have not been vaccinated to visit the health center to get vaccinated so that the number of COVID-19 cases, which currently stands at 14, continues to fall to zero.
Head of the Jayawijaya Health Office, doctor Willy Mambieuw, when contacted in Wamena, Jayawijaya Regency, Wednesday, said that so far the vaccination achievement has not reached 50 percent of the 70 percent target set for the district.
"Our appeal is for the health department, who has not vaccinated, to immediately vaccinate considering that the number from 200 has now dropped to 14 patients, so for those who have not been vaccinated, I invite those who have not been vaccinated on this occasion so that we hope that this number will be 14 in the next two days," he said. can go down to zero," he said.
Willy Mambieuw said that the most effective way to prevent the rise of COVID-19 at the moment is vaccination.
"Now it's more focused on vaccination so that what we are not currently pursuing is the only thing that is most effective in suppressing the increase in COVID-19 cases," he said.
He ensured that the policy of the Minister of Transportation so that travelers who had already been vaccinated twice were freed from PCR were sufficient to assist the service in accelerating vaccination, even though the increase in vaccine numbers was not like other regions outside Papua.
"We have achieved vaccination even though we haven't reached the target of 70 percent, but it is slowly moving with the formation of a new regulation from the Ministry of Transportation," he said.
The Kadinkes also ensured that cooperation with various relevant regional apparatus organizations (OPD) in handling COVID-19 went well.
"We have just opened a joint handling socialization activity, between the Health Office and the related OPD. We hope that with each OPD task we both suppress the spread of COVID-19," he said.
