DPPAD Papua urges schools to continue to apply the learning health protocol
The Papua Provincial Government (Pemprov) through the local Education, Library and Regional Archives Service (DPPAD) appealed to school principals to continue to apply learning health protocols within their respective educational institutions.
Acting Head of the Papua Regional Education, Libraries and Archives Office, Protasius Lobya, told ANTARA in Jayapura, Saturday, saying that with full face-to-face re-enactment, there needs to be important attention for all schools.
"Now education in Papua has started face-to-face and finished from here the task of the principal immediately mapping the number of teachers," he said.
According to Protasius, if there is a shortage of teachers, they are expected to immediately report so that DPPAD can discuss the matter with the relevant agencies.
"If there is a shortage, please convey it and then make a program and others so that if there is a shortage of teachers, we will discuss the transfer," he said.
He explained that the COVID-19 condition in Papua had started to slow down but children still had to pay attention to health protocols such as maintaining hand hygiene, bringing hansanitaizer or hand sanitizer and must bring a change of mask.
"Parents, if possible, should provide provisions for the children so they don't eat any snacks," he said.
He added that the admission of new students is still according to the rules, namely using zoning and is free of charge.
