KKB Papua Burns Teacher Housing SMAN 1 Ilaga Puncak Regency
The Armed Criminal Group (KKB) set fire to the housing of a teacher at SMA Negeri 1 Ilaga in Wako Village, Ilaga District, Puncak Regency, Papua. There were no casualties in the incident.
The Head of Public Relations of the Papua Police, Kombes Ahmad Musthofa Kamal, confirmed the burning of the teacher's housing in Wako Village. He said the arson took place at around 19.00 WIT, Friday, May 13, 2022.
After receiving reports of the burning of the teacher's housing at SMA Negeri 1 Ilaga, members led by Ipda Kristofol R Lewirissa along with Damai Cartenz personnel rushed to the crime scene (TKP).
The Cartenz Damai Ops personnel and residents tried to extinguish the fire and it was only extinguished at 19.20 WIT.
Members also patrol around the crime scene to ensure there is no movement from the KKB.
"There were no casualties in the incident," said Kamal as reported by Antara, Saturday (15/5/2022).
Previously, on Wednesday, May 11, 2022, KKB shot Nober Palintin (31 years old), a truck driver who was picking up sand in Kali Ilame, Wako Village, Gome District.
The victim is thought to have drifted away after being shot while fleeing towards the river. In the end, Nober was found by the community in Wilipur River, Kimak Village, Ilaga District, Thursday 12 May 2022.
KKB Papua also acted at Aminggaru Ilaga Airport. KKB reportedly opened fire on a cargo plane belonging to Asian One that was about to land at Aminggaru Ilaga Airport, Puncak Regency, Papua, Friday (13/5/2022) at around 10.00 WIT. The news was confirmed by the Head of the Aminggaru Ilaga Airport Management Unit (UPBU), Herman Sujito.
