The Governor of West Papua Laying the First Stone for the Construction of a Swimming Pool and Mako Denintel Kodam XVIII/Kasuari

Governor of West Papua Drs. Dominggus Mandacan, M.Si accompanied by the Commander of the Kasuari Military Command, Maj. Gen. Gabriel Lema, S.Sos., laid the first stone to mark the start of the construction of the Swimming Pool and Mako Denintel Kodam XVIII/Kasuari at the Makodam complex, Trikora, Arfai 1, Manokwari, West Papua, Wednesday (4/5/2022).

In a written statement on the explanation of Kodam XVIII/Kasuari, the Military Commander expressed his sincere gratitude to the Governor and the leadership of the DPR of West Papua Province and their ranks who have given their attention and assistance to Kodam XVIII/Kasuari in the infrastructure development of the Kodam and its staff.

"This development must benefit the progress of the people of West Papua, such as this swimming pool can be a means of mutual honing, compassion and care for talented athletes, as well as the presence of Mako Denintel Kodam XVIII/Kasuari must be able to help create a sense of security for this area," explained Commander in Chief.

On that occasion the Pangdam also hoped and prayed, when this construction was completed and ready to be used, the Governor was back to inaugurate it, this remark was immediately confirmed by the guests who were present accompanied by applause.

Meanwhile, the Governor of West Papua expressed his appreciation and gratitude to the Kodam and Polda West Papua and all levels for having the determination and commitment to continue to maintain security in the land of West Papua.

"This is the responsibility of all of us for us to maintain this section so that this area is always in a safe and conducive condition so that people can work, try for their personal and family lives and also help and help others," he said.

The governor also advised that in the future the swimming pool will be able to produce swimming athletes such as the national swimmer Richard Sambera who has always triumphed at the national and international levels.

"The West Papua Provincial Government will always provide support gradually and continuously," he said.

On the sidelines of the activity, it was also carried out by giving souvenirs by the Military Commander which was handed over to the Governor, Chair of the West Papua DPRD, Orgenes Wonggor, SIP, West Papua Police Deputy, Brigadier General Patrige R. Renwarin SH, M.Si and West Papua Kabinda, Brigadier General Vincentius Setiawan Bayu Sasetiyo, SIP, M. Si (Han).
