The Mayor of Jayapura Attends the Inauguration of the Samaria GMIT Service Building

The presence of the Mayor of Jayapura, Papua Province, Benhur Tomi Mano with his wife Mrs. Kristhina L. Mano, who took part in the inauguration of the GMIT Samaria church, was not without reason.

It turned out that they were the donors for the construction of the GMIT Samaria Congregation building who continuously contributed both materially and enthusiastically.

In addition, the more important thing is his wife, Mrs. Kristhina L. Mano is from Sabu Raijua Regency, NTT.

In his speech, the Mayor of Jayapura, Benhur Tomi Mano, said that his wife used to live in the former province of East Timor, which is now the country of Timor Leste.

After the referendum they moved to Kupang and with their father-in-law settled in Noelbaki Village.

To the congregation and invited guests, he introduced his wife and the entourage he brought, including several pastors of the Church of Papua in Indonesia (GPDI) and several officials he brought with him in the group.

"This is my wife, a Sabu, who used to live here," he said, asking his wife to stand up so that everyone could see and recognize her.

On that basis he came to see his brothers in Noelbaki, he helped with his advantages and disadvantages.

Mayor Benhur Mano's concern is a form of love and compassion for his brothers and sisters.

The hope is that the Samaria Noelbaki Congregation will continue to advance in building the faith of the congregation in its ministry and real work.
