BTM Brings 50 Bicycle Units from the Minister of Social Affairs Risma

Experts from the Minister of Social Affairs for Social Rehabilitation, Benhur Tomi Mano (BTM) together with Mrs. Kristhina L. Mano made a working visit to Sarmi Regency recently.

During the visit, the former Mayor of Jayapura for two terms handed over 50 bicycles assisted by the Minister of Social Affairs, Tri Rismaharini, or who is familiarly called Ibu Risma, to elementary and junior high school children in Arbais Village, West Coast District, through the GKI Synod in Tanah Papua.
 
In a press statement, BTM revealed that this assistance was realized by the Minister of Social Affairs Risma when she visited some time ago during a dialogue with school children, and they asked for bicycles because the distance from home to school was very far. "This is a direct request from the children, so 50 bicycles are provided so they can be used to school to support the teaching and learning process," explained BTM.

BTM also advises the children who receive the bicycle assistance so that they can study well, become smart, intelligent children who are the hope of the Nation and the State and can become Papuan leaders in the future," he said.

Meanwhile, the Deputy Chair of the GKI Synod in Papua, Rev. Hiskiah Rollo, said that on behalf of GKI and the Apawer District Class Association, he appreciated the 50 bicycles given to the children. "I am grateful for this assistance, especially to the Minister of Social Affairs," he explained. In line with Pdt. Hiskiah Rollo, Chairperson of the GKI Apawer Klasis Pdt. Enice Laikun, S. Th also expressed his gratitude for what the Ministry of Social Affairs had done.

For information, the Ministry of Social Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia cooperates with the GKI Synod in Papua, where all of the classics are spread throughout Papua Province.
