Stocks are running low, Papuan KKB Starts Guerrilla Search for Ammunition and Weapons
The Papuan Armed Criminal Group (KKB) seems to be running out of stock of ammunition and weapons.
This can be seen from the arrest of a State Civil Apparatus (ASN) with the initials AN in Yalimo Regency, Papua, who was carrying 615 rounds of ammunition and homemade firearms.
Based on the results of the investigation, the ASN acted as a liaison and provider of ammunition and weapons for the Nduga KKB.
According to the Director of General Criminal Investigation of the Papua Police, Kombes Faizal Ramadhani, the ASN was arrested while trying to deliver ammunition and weapons to a courier assigned by the KKB.
“He belongs to the Nduga group network. So we are very confident that he will be brought to Nduga," said Police Commissioner Faizal Ramadhani, Friday (1/7/2022).
Faizal believes that currently, some of these criminal groups are in short supply of ammunition and weapons.
Therefore, Faizal said, these groups are deploying their liaisons to look for the supplies.
"And from the results of the investigation, we know they are issuing several liaisons to look for weapons and ammunition," he said.
Of these groups, Faizal said, KKB Nduga was the most active in searching for additional ammunition and weapons.
"The Nduga group is the most active group in looking for weapons and ammunition," he said.
