Jayapura Gamki Supports DOB, Daniel Yoku: This is an Opportunity for the Welfare of Papuans!

The plan for the expansion of new autonomous regions (DOB) in Papua by the Central Government is considered to provide welfare opportunities for all people on Earth of Cenderawasih.

This was stated by the chairman of the Indonesian Christian Youth Movement (Gamki) Jayapura Regency, Daniel Oktavianus Yoku to Tribun-Papua.com, in Sentani, Saturday (4/6/2022).
 
"Why, considering that Papua's geography is difficult, expansion is a solution to answer the welfare of the Papuan people, and development in Papua can also be evenly distributed and services are increasingly touched for the community," said Daniel.
 
According to Daniel, if new autonomous regions do not occur in Papua, it will be more difficult for change to occur.

"If DOB doesn't happen, I think Papua will stay like this and nothing will change," he said.

He said that his party strongly supports the central and regional governments for efforts to implement new autonomous regions in Papua.
 
"We are very grateful to Mr. Joko Widodo, because during his leadership, Papua could be expanded. Therefore, we hope that all Papuan people will continue to support this new autonomous region," he hoped.

Daniel said, the Papuan people no longer needed to carry out various actions of resistance or resistance to the expansion of the new autonomous regions.
 
"It is impossible for the government to make a program to make it difficult for the people, including us, in the land of Papua".

"We hope and pray that this whole process can go well and that there will be no more refusal to be carried out," he concluded.
