Papua Declaration of Peace, Vice President Ma'ruf Amin: Don't Fight Yourself



Papuans in Jayawijaya Regency, Papua Province enthusiastically listened to Vice President Ma'ruf Amin's virtual speech at the Papua Declaration of Peace in commemoration of the Birthday of Pancasila, Wednesday (1/6/2022). In a speech witnessed by Papuans via videoconference, Vice President Ma'ruf greeted all Papuans using the local language at the Education Field, Wamena.

"All the people who were present at the Wamena Education Field, Papua, I love you (I love you). Thank you to the LMA (Indigenous Peoples Institute) for initiating this event. High appreciation also goes to traditional leaders, tribal chiefs from various traditional areas throughout the world. -Papua who was also present at the Wamena Education Field," said Ma'ruf Amin in his speech. The Vice President expressed his appreciation to Papuans who have consistently maintained the nation's agreement that Papua is part of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia.

"This declaration at the same time opens up great opportunities and opportunities for all levels of indigenous Papuans (OAP) to be actively involved in the Papuan development process," he said.
