Central Mamberamo Regent Officially Enters KPK DPO, Allegedly Fleeing to Papua New Guinea
The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has officially included the Regent of Central Mamberamo, Papua, Ricky Ham Pagawak, on the wanted list (DPO). Ricky allegedly fled to neighboring Papua New Guinea (PNG).
"Currently, one of the parties that has been named a suspect in the alleged TPK case is in the form of giving and receiving bribes and gratuities related to the implementation of various projects in the Central Mamberamo Regency, Papua Province, right, the KPK stated, has been included in the wanted list (DPO). " Acting KPK Spokesperson Ali Fikri told reporters on Monday (18/7/2022).
Related to this, Ali revealed that his party had summoned and examined a number of parties, including those closest to the suspect who allegedly helped in the escape process.
As for the results of the examination of a number of people, said Ali, the team is still in the process of analyzing it.
Along with the determination of the DPO status, the KPK asked the parties not to assist the suspect in deliberately hiding or evading the law enforcement process.
Because, said Ali, people who hinder the process of investigating cases can be subject to criminal penalties.
"KPK asked the parties not to help the suspect in hiding or evading the law enforcement process on purpose. Because he could be subject to a criminal offense to hinder the case investigation process," said Ali.
Therefore, his party appealed to the public who know the whereabouts of the Regent of Central Mamberamo, Papua Ricky Ham Pagawak, to immediately report to the KPK or other officials so that an arrest can be made immediately.
Previously, the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) failed to bring the Regent of Central Mamberamo, Papua Ricky Ham Pagawak to the Red and White House.
Ricky, who was named a suspect in the alleged bribery and gratification case in the implementation of various projects from the Central Mamberamo Regency Government, Papua, is suspected of fleeing to neighboring Papua New Guinea (PNG).
Acting KPK spokesman Ali Fikri asked the suspect to cooperate with the summons of the KPK.
Ali explained that the suspect had failed to fulfill the KPK's summons twice. This led investigators to make forced summons to suspects in the Papua region.
However, in the process of forced summons, the KPK Task Force team did not find Ricky's whereabouts.
