Papua Provincial Government & Manokwari Regency Government Support Initiatives from Inspirational Youth Program



The youth movement incorporated in the Inspirational Young Papua (PMI) has received support from a number of parties. Starting from the Acting Governor of West Papua, Paulus Waterpauw and the Regent of Manokwari Regency, Hermus Indou. Deputy IV for Economic Intelligence at BIN, I Gde Made Kartikajaya, said that PMI is trying to support the realization of prosperity in Papua. He said that the fostered organizations are tasked with bringing new enthusiasm to Papuan youths.

The man who wore clothes that read 'Inspirational Young Papua' in this meeting hoped that through PMI Papuan youths could implement their potential and creative ideas in order to support the realization of prosperity in the Land of Papua. In his meeting with the leaders of the Papua Provincial Government and the Manokwari Regency Government, he said PMI had many creative ideas and ideas in order to support the acceleration of development in Papua. One of them is related to national food security in accordance with Presidential Instruction Number 09 of 2020 concerning the Acceleration of Welfare in Papua and West Papua.

Supporting PMI's move, the Acting Governor of West Papua, Paulus Waterpauw, explained that his party had sent a team to prepare land for planting corn in the Tambrauw, Sorong and Manokwari districts. “We will work together to prepare the lands in order to respond to the policies of the President. Now, the fast crop is corn, then other secondary crops," Paulus said in a written statement, Friday (19/8/2022).

Paulus said the provincial government would also technically prepare a purchase reference price (HAP) from these agricultural products, including corn HAP. His party is committed to preparing human resources to support the management of agriculture, animal husbandry, and other programs in order to support young people in PMI. “Hopefully it will run soon and it will be realized soon. There are many, we also have to prepare human resources well. especially in terms of managing agriculture, including animal husbandry,” he said.

Support from the Manokwari Regency Government

On this occasion, the Regent of Manokwari Regency, Hermus Indou also expressed his support for PMI. He is committed to supporting PMI's work program in order to realize the welfare of Papua and West Papua through the creative work of young people in PMI.

"Our Inspirational Young Papuans support it, because I think whatever, youth occupy a very strategic position today," said Hermus.

Hermus detailed that his party provided support in the form of providing about 2 hectares of land, as well as synergizing related agencies to provide space for empowerment initiated by PMI.

"In addition to land, we will also optimize the role of OPD-OPD for an empowerment program, through our APBD we will allocate it for these inspiring youths," explained Hermus.

Hermus hopes that this program can be realized as soon as possible, so that young Papuans feel proud and their abilities can continue to develop.

"They have adequate facilities, they want to learn to build themselves and also build the nation and state," said Hermus.
