Reviewing the New Homes of 76 Families of Flash Flood Victims in Doyo Jayapura, Jokowi: We Want to Build a Good Ecosystem

President Joko Widodo or Jokowi visits the Kampung Doyo Baru Healthy House, Jayapura Regency, Papua, Wednesday (31/8/2022). The Healthy House was built for 76 families (KK) who were affected by flash floods and landslides in 2019 in the Doyo Baru area, Waibu District, Jayapura Regency.

After the review, Jokowi said that the most important thing is that the houses can be directly occupied by residents. In addition, the Head of State also ensures that the environment in the Healthy Home supports the lives of the residents.

"We really want to build a good ecosystem," said Jokowi as quoted in a video broadcast on the Presidential Secretariat's YouTube, Wednesday.

According to a report from the Minister of Social Affairs Tri Rismaharini, in addition to housing there is land that can be used by residents to grow crops.
 
In addition, there is an empowerment center for community farms.
 
"Besides there is empowerment for chicken farming, this is also good, pig farming and catfish farming are all done in the same environment," he said.

"So this is really a thing besides building a house, it is also a good community empowerment and we hope that from there, prosperity will emerge, yes," he added.
 
The review of the Kampung Doyo Healthy Home is one of Jokowi's activities while in Papua. After the review, Jokowi then distributed Business Registration Numbers for 2,700 individual SMEs at GOR Toware, Jayapura, Wednesday (31/8/2022).

In the afternoon, the Head of State will head to Sentani International Airport and then take off to Mozes Kilangin International Airport, Timika, Mimika Regency. Jokowi will go to the Sport Hall, Tembagapura District, Mimika Regency to stay in touch with PT Freeport Indonesia employees.
 
President Jokowi and Iriana Jokowi will spend the night in Mimika Regency to continue the work agenda tomorrow.
