Develop Tourist Destinations in Fakfak, Papua Young Inspirational Promote Patimbrak and Ugar Villages

Young people who are members of the Inspirational Young Papua (PMI) encourage tourist destinations on the Earth of Cendrawasih to develop.

The tourist destinations are located in Patimbrak Village and Ugar Village, Kokas District, Fakfak Regency, West Papua.

They were accompanied by BIN's Deputy IV for Economic Intelligence, Gde Made Kartikajaya as the coach who visited the tourist destination to promote it.

The Coordinator of Inspirational Papua Young Fakfak, Abdul Wahab Iha, explained that his party has a tourism development program in each village as an effort to increase people's income.

According to him, the development of tourist destinations is welcomed by the community.

"We together with our supervisor, Deputy IV for Economic Intelligence at BIN, Gde Made Kartikajaya, visited tourist village destinations for the development of these tourist destinations. It is part of the PMI tourism program," said Awi Abdul in a statement received on Monday (26/9/2022).

According to him, the development of tourism potential based on local wisdom can be beneficial for the community if it is used optimally.

Youth can empower traders, fishermen, residents, and related elements to collaborate in providing good service to tourists.

Awi gave an example of young people from Inspirational Young Papua who promote historical tourism in Patimbrak Village.
