Jayapura City Government asks HIPMI to play an active role in building the economy

The City Government (Pemkot) of Jayapura, Papua Province hopes that the Indonesian Young Entrepreneurs Association (HIPMI) can play an active role in building the community's economy through orientation and Branch Work Meetings (Rakercab) of branch management bodies.

Assistant I of the Regional Secretariat of Jayapura City, Evert Meraudje, in Jayapura, Saturday, hoped that the orientation and the Working Meeting of the Jayapura City Hipmi Branch Management Body could produce a work program that would provide benefits for regional development.

"So Hipmi must be able to design work programs and decisions that can answer development challenges and obstacles and are in line with the direction of regional government development priorities," he said.

According to Evert, his party realizes that all efforts and efforts to develop and improve various leading sectors in Jayapura City are still faced with various challenges and obstacles.

"For that we are all required to be smarter to create a breakthrough that can explore and develop business," he said.

He explained that the business developed must have a strategic role as a source of community income and have market prospects for both the domestic and export markets.

Therefore, the orientation and Work of the BPC Hipmi Jayapura City were able to excite and increase motivation to conduct an assessment of business development opportunities from the availability of Natural Resources (SDA) in the area.

Meanwhile, Chairman of BPC Hipmi Jayapura City Supriadi Laling said Hipmi is an organization that is young at heart, so the management must think critically.

"Young people are people who think critically. For that, everyone should be active in working together and in this orientation," he said.

He hopes that what was discussed in the meeting can produce something that is able to collaborate with the Jayapura City Government in developing the community's economy.

"Of course, what we will discuss later will be able to collaborate with the Jayapura City Government because we are jointly committed to building a better Jayapura city in the future," he said.
