The Regency Government (Pemkab) of Lanny Jaya, Papua again distributed aid for basic materials and ready-to-eat food to the Kuyawage District, which was recently hit by the frost phenomenon in early June 2022.
 
Acting Regional Secretary Lanny Jaya Tendien Wenda in Jayapura, Saturday, said the assistance provided was in the form of 2.5 tons of ready-to-eat food, 2,000 blankets, 200 children's clothes, 200 adult clothes, 200 cartons of instant noodles, 40 cartons of salt, 40 cartons of sugar and supplies. other.

"This assistance comes from the Ministry of Social Affairs, BNPB, Lanny Jaya Regional Government and PMI," he said.
 
According to Tendien, based on reports so far, the community has not been able to carry out agricultural activities this is because the soil structure is still dry.

"This is the third time we have provided assistance," he said.
 
He explained that the assistance provided could ease the burden on the local community and hoped that the situation would recover soon.
 
"Thanks to the Ministry of Social Affairs, BNPB and also PMI who together with us provided this assistance to the people in the Kuyawage District," he said again.

He added that the overall drought problem that was hitting Kuyawage District had been handled well by all parties.

The provision of assistance was carried out by Acting Regional Secretary Lanny Jaya Tendien Wenda accompanied by the Head of the Lanny Jaya Police, AKBP Umar Nasatekay, the village head, and related agencies located in Kuyawage District, Lanny Jaya Regency, Papua.
