HIPMI Jayapura invites young people to prepare for the digitalization economy era

The Regional Governing Body of the Indonesian Young Entrepreneurs Association (BPD HIPMI) Jayapura Regency, Papua invites young people in the region to prepare for the era of demographic bonuses and the digital economy.

Chairman of the BPD HIPMI Jayapura Regency Nelson Ondi in a press release received by Antara in Jayapura, Monday, appealed to young people not to be easily influenced and provoked to participate in politicizing legal issues with political arguments that occurred in the area.

"Instead of participating in the politicization of legal issues, it is better to prepare for the era of the demographic bonus in 2030-2045 and also prepare to enter the era of the digital economy," he said.

According to Nelson, the millennial generation must change their mindset and lead to a demographic bonus and the digital economy in order to improve their soft skills in the future.

"In order to compete in these two eras, do not participate in politicizing legal issues that are currently happening in Papua," he said.

He ensured that the younger generation must dare to start entering the business world because it is possible that the digital economy era in Papua will be felt in 2023 or 2024.

The government, he continued, has also encouraged Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) to take advantage of technological developments or can go digital.

"So we encourage young people to become quality and competitive entrepreneurs," he said.
