TNI: Victims of the KKB Massacre in West Papua are Not Intelligence, All are Civilians

The TNI confirmed that the four victims of the massacre of the Armed Criminal Group in Majenek Lama Village, Teluk Bintuni Regency were not intelligence members. They are all civilians, not as claimed by the KKB.

This was conveyed by Kapendam XVIII Kasuari Colonel Inf Batara Alex Bulo according to the report of the 1806/Teluk Bintuni Kodim Commander, Lt. Col. Inf. Kadek Ambriawan who went directly to the field to evacuate the victims.
 
"That's not true. It's propaganda and misinformation that is deliberately spread by the KKB," said Kapendam, Monday (3/10/2022).

According to him, the Dandim who saw firsthand the real conditions on the ground, the victims were civilians who worked as road workers. They are workers who built the connecting road axis between Meyerga Village, West Moskona District and North Moskona District.
 
The evacuation process was carried out by members of Kodim 1806/Bintuni Bay in collaboration with the Bintuni Police, reinforced by Battalion 763/SBA, Pos Meyerga Organic Unit Battalion Battalion RK 136/TS and members of Brimob.

"The evacuation task is safe and smooth and during our activities the local government is very much supported, in this case the Regent of Teluk Bintuni," he said.
 
In this attack, an estimated 20 KKB people came to the road workers on Thursday (29/9/2022) at 17.00 WIT. Then Friday (30/9/2022), a joint team of TNI-Polri security forces led by Dandim 1806/Teluk Bintuni together with the Head of the Resort Police went to West Muskona to evacuate victims of the murder of road workers carried out by KKB Kodap IV Sorong-Raya.

"The journey from Teluk Bintuni to Pos Meyerga is approximately 100 km with a travel time of 5 hours by vehicle. The team arrived at Pos Meyerga and then carried out a brief briefing and then headed to the TKP which is 10 km away and takes approximately one hour," he said.
