KKB robs and strips 8 members of TNI-1 in Paniai Papua

The Armed Criminal Group (KKB) carried out a robbery and stripped 9 residents of Paniai, Papua. One of the victims was a member of the TNI.

"There have been ambushes and robberies against 8 civilians and 1 member of the TNI," said the Director of Crime and Crime of the Papuan Police, Kombes Faizal Rahmadani, as quoted by detikSulsel, Saturday (8/10/2022).
 
The incident is said to have occurred in Baguwo Village, Topiyai District, Paniai Regency on Friday (7/10) at around 15.50 WIT. One member of the TNI who also became a victim was Sergeant Bayu Prasetyo.
 
"At around 15.50 WIT when they arrived in Baguwo Village, Topiyai District, 8 civilians and 1 TNI member were intercepted by about 20 KKB members," said Faizal.

Faizal said the KKB confronted the victim using 4 firearms (senpi), 1 mouser each, SS1 V1, SS1 V2, and homemade weapons. The KKB members also had time to ask the victim about the possession of weapons or ammunition and then the victim was kicked using the butt of the weapon while being stripped naked.
 
"The civilians and TNI members were ordered to get out of the truck and the KKB asked that 'you have weapons or ammunition or not' and were answered 'nothing'. The KST party kicked and hit the 8 people using their butts weapons while naked," he said.
