Police Secure Two TPN-PB Members in Nabire



The Nabire Resort Police have arrested two people suspected of being members of the West Papua National Liberation Army (TPN-PB). The two were arrested after being caught stealing on Sinak Atas Street, Girimulyo Village, Nabire Regency, Friday (10/21/2022) at around 02.30 WIT.

The Head of Public Relations of the Papuan Police, Kombes Police Ahmad Musthofa Kamal, said that the arrest began with a public report which at around 02:15 WIT had arrested two people, namely MD and AT, who were suspected of being the perpetrators of theft while on guard at the Girimulyo patrol post.
 
Kamal continued, during the search, tools such as crowbars and keys were found in the bags of the two people suspected of being the perpetrators of the theft.

"When MD's wallet was checked, there was 1 TPNPB membership card, the highest commander of the Melanesian nation's army, West Papua New Guinea. Seeing this, the community immediately reported it to the Nabire Police Station," he said.

According to Kamal MD, he is suspected to be a core member of the West Papuan West Papuan Melanesian nation with the rank of Soldat one in the Central Wind Unit of the TPNPB group, the highest commander of the Melanesian nation's army, West Papua New Guinea, with Inflatable Commander Jemmy M Yogi (Brikjen Inf NBP NO 01 Pangkasad TPNPB Sorong - Merauke) .

"Currently, the two people have been detained at the Nabire Police Headquarters for further investigation by the Nabire Police Criminal Investigation Unit," he said.
