Regent of Kaimana, West Papua Freddy Thie invites students in his area to participate in promoting tourism potential to everyone through social media which is full of the use of today's digital technology.

When appearing as a lecturer at the Nusantara Student Festival held by RRI Kaimana, Thursday, Regent Freddy said the Kaimana Regency Government is currently actively promoting Kaimana tourism so that it is widely known to foreign countries.

The development of Kaimana as a tourist city, he said, was also included in the vision-mission program of the Kaimana Regency Government under the leadership of Freddy Thie-Hasbulla Furuada as the Regent and Deputy Regent.

"I invite all of you to be involved in promoting Kaimana's tourism potential," said Freddy, who is familiarly called Kaibus.

He said Kaimana has a lot of tourism spots that other regions don't have.

"In order for the beauty of Kaimana to be known by the wider community, we all need our role, including the younger siblings, the Kaimana youth to promote it by utilizing the sophistication of digitalization technology that you have," said Freddy to hundreds of high school and vocational students who packed the Sports Building (GOR). ) Kaimana.

On that occasion, Freddy asked Kaimana students to carry out three important things as a guide in life, namely choosing figures who will be a source of inspiration, taking advantage of opportunities in the digitalization era and taking opportunities as tourism actors in supporting the local government program that wants to make Kaimana a tourist city.

A student, he said, it is very important to have role models in life to help motivate themselves to keep fighting for their dreams.

Freddy asked Kaimana students to learn from the life journey of an inspirational figure, Jack Ma.

Jack Ma is a prominent Chinese businessman, investor, and philanthropist who before reaching success experienced the ups and downs of life.

But thanks to his persistence, Jack Ma eventually became a conglomerate, the richest person in the world.

"Before becoming a regent and before being successful in managing a business, I have experienced failure. If you want to be successful, never stop fighting. Don't despair when you fail, but use failure as a whip to achieve your dreams," said Freddy, who has an entrepreneur background. .
 
Kaimana students are also asked to be creative and innovative individuals in the current era of digitalization.

However, Freddy reminded that current technological advances can have positive and negative impacts on a person.

"I invite Kaimana students to take positive values in the current digitalization era to improve their competence and create new things that are beneficial for themselves and many people," he said.

He hopes that the activities held by RRI Kaimana will be a source of inspiration for Kaimana's young people to continue to progress and develop.
