In addition, around 1,000 more Papuan students graduated from various universities at home and abroad, thanks to affirmation scholarships during the Jokowi administration.

“There are things that can be debated. But regarding development in Papua, both in terms of physical and non-physical aspects, it is almost difficult to deny considering the large amount of data related to the evidence of development in Papua today,” said Nendy. Chairman of the EMP, Rahman Patur, added that the acceleration of infrastructure development in the Jokowi era was considered successful in encouraging regional economic growth. This is because the infrastructure built makes the community's economy more active. Adequate infrastructure can reduce travel time, thereby speeding up logistics routes.
